SFC DAILY DEVOTIONS
There is an old saying that goes like this; "I'll believe it when I see it.” Thomas was saying the same thing when the other Disciples tried to tell him that Jesus has been raised from the grave and was alive. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 11:6 "It is impossible to please God without faith." but I ask you, is it faith if you can see it? No, faith does believe even when you can't see it with your eyes. Thomas didn't have faith to believe therefore he was known as Doubting Thomas. In another part of the Bible it reads; "Ye wicked and adulterous generation ye always seek after a sign and there shall be no sign given unto you." You must have faith to believe to be able to please God. Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing the word of God, not by seeing, as Thomas desired. Think of all the things that you believe in without being able to see them today, such as the wind or air that you breath.
